NAMPA, Idaho — The biggest party of the year for pups was held in Canyon County today.
Today's 12th annual "Pooch Party" took over Lakeview Park in Nampa, encouraging people and their pets to socialize their way through summer.
Brady White, the aquatic supervisor for the Nampa Parks and Recreation says, "It's really the energy, the dog owners, the dogs themselves, it is truly a great family event that draws all ages out to the park today to really show the support in the community for our dog parks but also just for our parks in general so it's a great event."
The dogs-only swimming event raises money for the Nampa Dog Park and todays event featured a one-mile dog walk, pet-friendly vendors, raffles and contests.
