A Meridian-based program is aiming to teach kids a language that not all of us grew up with: computer coding!
The "Code Ninjas" afterschool program hosted it's grand opening Saturday. The program starts by teaching 7 to 14-year-olds how to build video games. Participants start out with a "white belt" and as they progress through the program, they can work their way up to a "black belt."
Eventually, the kids would have the skills to build an app. Code ninjas offer drop-in sessions and day camps during the weekdays where no school is scheduled.
