BOISE — On Saturday morning, January 5th, traffic on State Street will swap. Traffic will move to the north side of State Street, east of Collister Drive. West of Collister Drive, traffic will remain on the south side of State Street. There will be an additional traffic swap for that portion of the project at a later date.

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will remain the same with pedestrians on the north side of State Street east of the intersection and on the south side of State Street west of the intersection. Bicycles can either share the road or follow the pedestrian route.

The traffic swap will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and traffic will temporarily be one lane in each direction on the south side of State Street while crews work on placing the new paint striping. This work is expected to last most of Saturday with the possibility of some night work. As soon as the striping is complete traffic will be restored to two lanes in each direction on the north side of State Street.

This traffic swap will allow for work to begin on the Farmers Union Canal on the south side of State Street. Please note, the schedule is very dependent upon weather and may change.
