IDAHO — A new program allows high school students across the gem state to apply for Idaho colleges. Next Steps Idaho gives students a wealth of information about higher education no matter what level of school they're in. On top of all that, students are able to access the application process for all eight of Idaho's two year colleges and four year institutions free of charge.

Andrew Scoggin, a board member of the State Board of Education says Idaho has become a popular place for new businesses and employers who are looking for qualified and educated employees.

"We have the opportunity to provide them with all of those employees our citizens to fill those jobs, grow those businesses and keep growing the potential of the state of Idaho," said Andrew Scoggin, Idaho State Board of Education board member.

"Some kids don't get the same opportunities that I get and I don't get the same opportunities as other kids and you know, it helps to level out that playing field and basically just give everyone a better opportunity," said Kate Roth, Boise High School student.
