IDAHO — To kick off World Milk Day and Dairy Month, Albertsons, The Idaho Foodbank, and Dairy West launched their "Moo bucks" campaign Saturday.

Donations from the registers at Albertsons Market Street went to The Idaho Foodbank to provide dairy products to families in need.

"Milk is often one of the most requested items, but very often it's the least available so for dairy farm families to be able to support this initiative and The Idaho Foodbank is able to offer that through those donations, it gives really nutritious products to those families in need," said Cindy Miller, Dairy West spokesperson.

Dairy West recently donated a refrigerated truck to store dairy products safely to go to food banks all over the state.

The campaign runs through June 14th and donations can be made at any Albertsons.
