TWIN FALLS — The body of missing BASE jumper, Austin Carey, was found this morning on Snake River, west of pillar falls by Twin Falls County Sheriff's office, his family confirmed to us this afternoon.

Austin went missing last week after completing a jump and attempting to swim across Snake River.

Last week, his family flew out to Twin Falls from California to assist in the search efforts, and while they were here, the Bureau of reclamation agreed to lower the water levels to continue the search. Last Saturday, the Jerome County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Reclamation announced they were scaling back their efforts.

Deputies with the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office located the body around 10 a.m. this morning.

“Austin was just pure joy. His smile radiated love. He had friends all over the world and he never met anybody that he didn’t really like," Lisa Satterfield, Austin’s aunt, said.
