BOISE, IDAHO — If you have an ear for harmony or just enjoy the sweet sounds of barbershop music, we have got the perfect event for you this weekend.

The Boise Chordsmen will hold their annual event on Saturday, this one named "Do You Hear the People sing."

If you somehow have never heard of the Boise Chordsmen, they are now the area's premiere men's a capella barbershop chorus and also a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

The group has been around the Treasure Valley for over 60 years now, with an open audition process, meaning anyone who wants to try out can show up to a practices and show off their chops

As for Saturday's event, you'll hear music from a wide variety of groups and genres, including the Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkle, and Les Miserables.

This event is more than just a concert.

"The thing that makes barbershop so much more unique than a lot of styles of music is that it's all about the storytelling, and it's all about the entertainment value, and giving an authentic, meaningful performance to an audience that they can really understand why we love it and then hopefully they enjoy it and get just as much enjoyment as we do," said Boise Chordsmen Artistic Director Ian Kelly.

"Do You Hear the People Sing" will take place at the Morrison Center this Saturday at 7PM. For tickets, click here.
