FRUITLAND, Idaho — A crash on I-84 near milepost 10.6 had the eastbound lanes closed for two hours Wednesday.

Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash in Payette County. 41-year-old Robert Smith of Portland, Oregon was driving a 2016 Freightliner tractor trailer. Smith drifted off the right should and overcorrected, crossing both lanes of travel. Smith overcorrected again, going back to the right should and overturned.

Smith was wearing a seatbelt, and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes in Nampa. The lanes of travel were completely blocked for two hours. The left lane reopened this morning after being blocked for another seven hours. All lanes are back open this morning.
