EAGLE — The City of Eagle gave a special thank you to local veterans, active military, and families with a free breakfast today.
It's the third year of the Veterans Day breakfast, but instead of the traditional sit-down and dine style, the military members had the option to take the meal to go.
Some parked their cars and enjoyed their meals inside their vehicles with others nearby as well.
"Their service is just impeccable; without them, our country wouldn't be what it is. So we're just out here, we got breakfast made for them, and ready to have them drive-through and give it to them," said Mayor of Eagle Jason Pierce.
The drive-thru style breakfast took place at Guerber Park in Eagle from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. If you missed it this year, you could look forward to next year's Veterans Day breakfast.
