NAMPA, ID — The City of Nampa expanded its tree lighting ceremony to include a winter market in Lloyd Square on Saturday.

The festivities included carriage rides, bell ringers, a holiday market, a choir, and selfies with Santa Claus. The Christmas tree is located in front of the historic train depot on 1200 Front Street.

Robyn Farney says she enjoys coming to the festivities every year.

"This is one of our favorite parts of the Christmas season, so we come here every year to watch the tree lighting and see people and get some free hot chocolate and just have a good time," said Robyn Farney.

Nampa isn't the only place with lights to see in Canyon County; Caldwell's Winter Wonderland at Indian Creek has nearly a million lights, including a fire breathing dragon feature.
