In Caldwell the Yotes began fall camp at Simplot Stadium as the team welcomed over 110 new players yesterday. This season the team will have a new look under center, with six quarterbacks on the roster. Of those six players, two of them saw action last season.

Sophomore JJ Hyde saw the most playing time, he had six touchdowns last season. Now Coach Moroski says the starting quarterback position is still up in the air, but that he said that two local guys could see time this fall.

“You know, I will go on record and say this: I think both guys will play the first game as long as they are healthy. There might even be a third in there, so we’ve got to get guys along. I don’t beleive in platooning quarterbacks but we know what they do and what they do well and we’re trying to develop that a little bit and it worked last year. Having depth and game experience is really more important to me, especially since we run the quarterback a little bit,” Head Coach Mike Moroski said.
