The Boise State Broncos were able to hang on to 85 to 78 victory against San Jose State yesterday afternoon and the win also gave the blue and orange the 1st round by in the Mountain West Tournament.
With the victory, it also even more special to head Coach Leon Rice pocket book.
Coach Rice picked up win number 18 and received a one-year extension and just over 730,000 dollars. It marks the third straight year he has earned the extension. For him, though he is just glad to been given the chance to coach in Boise.
“I’m just grateful to be here. I’m grateful to coach these guys and represent Boise State and be the caretaker for the program. Hopefully, they're not ready to run me out of town yet and I consider it an honor to be the coach of Boise State basketball and it's exciting for me,” said, Head Coach Leon Rice.
