Washington highlights BSU fall softball schedule

After winning 33 games and making the post season Boise State softball jump into fall exhibition play that has 3 other teams that made the post season on their schedule beginning in September.

The fall schedule is highlighted by women's college world series participant Washington, along with seven other contests.

“We are looking forward to our fall season,” said, Head Coach Cindy Ball. “We have prepared the toughest schedule that our program has ever played in the fall with three postseason teams, two super regional teams and a World Series team,” said, Ball

The fall season will begin on the road at Division II Northwest Nazarene, Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m.

Boise State will then host Washington, Sept. 23, at 3:30 p.m. The Huskies finished last season No. 3 in the nation.

The Broncos will host their alumni game, Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1:00 p.m. in a modified, 4-7 inning format. Boise State will host their final home exhibition the next day, Oct. 1, against NAIA opponent College of Idaho, at noon.

The fall season will close on the road, first with a trip through Utah for a doubleheader against BYU, Oct. 7, with the opening game beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by a game against the Utah Utes the following day.

Both Utah and BYU competed in the Salt Lake City Regional for the Women’s College World Series, with Utah advancing to the Super Regional.

The fall season will close with a final exhibition against Northwest Nazarene, Oct. 14, again in Nampa, Idaho.
