The University of Idaho got back on the right track with a win on the road against Louisiana-Monroe taking the win 34 to 31.

Austin Rehkow kicked the game-winning 27-yard field goal as the clock ran down.  Rehkow scored the first nine points of the game as the Vandals went up 16 nothing after one-quarter before the Warhawks got their offense going.

On the evening Idaho had 414 yards of total offense, and quarterback Matt Linehan threw for 211 yards and one touchdown.

“We had to play with great effort and we had to believe and there was ever a win where we believed then I would say it's that one.  There was a lot of times in that game where guys could have kept believing it's something we can build on and it's something we can keep getting better at.  I just couldn’t be more proud of our assistant coaches,” said, Head Coach Paul Petrino.

ESPN has Idaho in a bowl game for the first time since 2009, Football Insider Mark Schlabach has the Vandals playing Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl and Brett McMurphy has them facing Nevada in the December 30th game.
