The Steelheads closed out their series with the Wheeling Nailers with a victory winning 4-1.
Idaho had 3 goals late in the third period that broke a 1-1 tie. With the win, Idaho earned their 38th victory of the season matching their total from last season with six games still to play on their schedule.
The Steelheads finished their season series with the Nailers taking four of the six meetings.
They now return home for their final three-game homestand of the season at CenturyLink Arena against the Colorado Eagles, who have already clinched a playoff spot.
A win this coming Wednesday night against the Colorado Eagle and Idaho will clinch a playoff spot.
It will be the 20th straight year Idaho will have made the playoffs.
