Several new players will put on those familiar blue and orange uniforms and hit the “smurf turf” this season. Running Back Alexander Mattison is expected to be out most of the spring ball due to a shoulder injury, but he was at practice this morning. Another new player, David Moa spent his morning with the defensive tackles. This season, Moa says he expects to be a little quicker after dropping seven pounds, down to 262 pounds.
"I transitioned from nose to three take-ups,” Moa said. “I still want to keep that speed. Coach Pittman was on me about gaining weight, but they were still happy with my building my strength going up and my body fat going down."
