Kids will dive into summer -– literally -- at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2nd for opening day at Boise’s six municipal outdoor pools.

The outdoor municipal pools are operated by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department.

All pools are staffed by certified lifeguards.

Here’s all the city pools that will be open:

Borah Pool, 801 Aurora Drive

Fairmont Pool, 7929 Northview Street

Ivywild Pool, 2250 Leadville Avenue

Lowell Pool, 1601 N. 28th Street

South Pool, 921 Shoshone Street

Natatorium and Hydrotube, 1811 Warm Springs Avenue

“Swim classes are available at all six pools. Classes taught by certified instructors are offered Mondays through Thursdays in two-week sessions,” said Boise City Parks and Recreation Department spokesperson Sarah Collings.

Youth season swim passes start at $30 for Boise city residents. Family passes and non-resident passes also are available, she said.

To register for swim lessons, you can use the online registration system, stop by Fort Boise Community Center at 700 Robbins Road in Boise, or call (208) 608-7680 or TDD/TTY 1-800-377-3529.
