A Boise man has been charged with stealing from Treasure Valley roofing companies.

The Idaho Statesman reports that Jared Deveraux is accused of diverting payments intended for the roofing companies into his own account.

He's charged in Ada County with 45 counts of felony grand theft.

Deveraux's lawyer declined any comment.  In a separate lawsuit filed by Paradigm Roofing Group, Deveraux denied the allegations.

Josh Adams, the owner of Paradigm roofing, says he heard from a customer asking why she was receiving calls to pay for a roofing job. She said she wrote a $6,190 check to Deveraux, the sales manager. Adams says Deveraux deposited it into his personal bank account.

Adams says other customers wrote similar checks to Deveraux totaling about $168,000.

He's also accused of stealing $333,568 from ARI Roofing in Caldwell.
