Police: Trio arrested after race influenced assault

Three men have been arrested after Boise Police say they harassed, threatened and assaulted two juvenile victims as they walked down a Boise street.

The call came in at 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 26th, after a report of a fight on N. Liberty and Butte Street.

Police say that Christopher Daniel and Thomas Caldwell threatened and assaulted two juvenile victims based on race.

During the second incident, Christopher Daniel brandished a knife while Verdell Daniel and Thomas Caldwell made threatening comments.

Officers found and arrested Christopher Daniel and Verdell Daniel at a nearby home. While conducting the investigation, officers noticed a driver leaving the home and identified the third suspect as Thomas Caldwell.

Caldwell was found to have a BAC of .129 and .131 and was arrested for malicious harassment, battery, and driving under the influence.

Verdell Daniel, 48, of Boise, was charged with malicious harassment.

Christopher Daniel, 29, of Boise was arrested for malicious harassment and aggravated battery.
