According to the Ontario Police Department, officers have recovered suspected stolen property with a value of approximately $65,000 including three stolen firearms.

Police report they responded to a suspicious circumstance call at a storage complex. The staff noticed an unfamiliar truck parked in front of a storage unit and contacted police.

Officers found at least two storage units had been burglarized.

Warrants were obtained, and officers from the Ontario Police Department, Malheur County Sheriff’s Office and Fruitland Police Departments served the warrants at a home in Ontario as well as at a storage unit and vehicle.

Several theft victims have been located, and nearly $50,000 worth of property has been identified by owners.

Police confirm some of the seized property is related to burglaries at The Spot Auto Shop, from utility trailers parked in the old K-Mart parking lot, and from multiple storage sheds in the Ontario area.

The investigation is ongoing. The Ontario Police Department has identified three suspects. Charges are pending.
