UPDATE:

Nampa Police say:

The Nampa Police Department has confirmed the van in our previous post was a delivery van, delivering packages in the area of the suspicious call from last evening. Nampa PD has been in contact with the delivery service and there is no further concern with this situation. THANK YOU to all of you who called, messaged, commented and shared to help our community stay safe!

Nama Police detectives are investigating a possible child abduction -- after the suspect’s van was caught on video.

About 7 p.m. Tuesday, witnesses say a white van drove slowly by a home in south Nampa -– near Greenhurst Road and Midland Blvd. --- where two pre-teen girls were playing in the front yard. “The van stopped in front of the house, the girls ran into their garage, and the driver exited the vehicle and chased them partially up the driveway. The male then returned to the van and drove away,” Nampa Police posted on its facebook page.

Some neighbors believe the same van was in the neighborhood the previous evening as well.
The vehicle is described as a white newer cargo-type van with a chassis cab, no windows behind the front doors. The driver’s side upper tail light is out. There were no logos or emblems on the vehicle.

Police say the suspect was a man who wore a black hoodie over his head.

Images of the van were captured on a resident’s video camera.

If you see the van in your neighborhood, you are urged to call Nampa Police non-emergency dispatch at 208-465-2257.
