Meridian Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who inappropriately touched a fifteen-year-old girl on Sunday, September 25.

It happened about 2:30 p.m. at the Walmart store in the 4000 block of E. Fairview Avenue in Meridian.

“The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late twenties or early thirties with a thin beard, and tattoos on his arms. He was wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans and a Tennessee Titans hat,” Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said.

Officers said the suspect touched the girl’s buttocks twice while she was shopping at the store.

“Once the victim contacted a store associate, the male left (the store), got into a grey or blue extended cab Chevrolet pickup, and left the area,” Basterrechea said.

If you’ve seen the suspect or have any information about the case, you are urged to contact Detective Jeff Fuller at the Meridian Police Department at 846-7333.
