A Meridian man faces seven felony counts of lewd conduct with a child, after police say he abused a minor female over an eighteen-month period.
“The victim told a relative about the abuse, who then told co-workers,” said Meridian Police Department Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea. The co-workers then notified police.
The abuse allegedly took place over approximately an eighteen-month period. “We believe it’s been happening since early 2016,” Basterrechea said.
Reports say the abuse involved inappropriate touching and oral contact between the suspect and the victim.
The suspect and the victim knew each other, police said.
The victim’s age was not disclosed.
Hixon was arrested Tuesday at his home in the 4000 block of Supai Street, in northwest Meridian, Basterrechea stated.
Police do not believe there are any other victims.
Hixon was booked into the Ada County Jail Tuesday evening.
