After being gone for half a year, more than 200 members of the Idaho Air National Guard returned home late Sunday night.

The Guardsmen and women were deployed back in April in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

The plane landed late last night, and the best part--every single person who left back in April got off the plane last night.

Hundreds of excited friends and family were there to witness the homecoming, but missing from the crowd was two young boys whose dad was deployed, but they got the surprise of a lifetime when Dad showed up to their school during an assembly.

While the boys, Andre and Haiden said the last six months have been very hard, they are looking forward to making up for lost time.
