Idaho Governor "Butch" Otter says Major General Gary Sayler will continue serving as the commanding officer of the Idaho National Guard. He has turned 65 years old and received an automatic extension.of his post. His title is now Major General (Retired), according to the National Guard.
He will continue to be recognized by the Department of Defense.
