Everything is starting to come alive at the Idaho Veterans Garden in Caldwell. Their latest project is the construction of an ADA-compliant bathroom facility.

The city is providing all the materials and Treasure Valley contractors are stepping up to donate their time.

All the laborers are lined up except for framers. The project can't move forward until the inside walls go up.

"People don't understand it's not the dollars but the love that they pour out to us that are changing these veterans' lives," says Dan Pugmire with the Idaho Veterans Garden. "We're stuck in a hard spot right now. Everybody's busy because of the long Winter. So, all the contractors are busy, and we understand that. This is a pretty simple build but something I don't know how to do."

The need came about at the request of a double amputee who was having a tough time using the portable ADA restroom on site.

If you know a framer who can help, contact Pugmire by dialing (208) 713-3167.
