Crews have fully contained a wildfire that burned Sunday in Elmore County just west of Glenns Ferry.
The fire started at 8 p.m. and quickly grew to more than 600 acres burning on both sides of I-84. Were told crews were able to contain that fire early this morning.
Crews will be in the area mopping up today and they expect to have it fully controlled by 4 p.m.
At one point the smoke was so thick in the area I-84 was shut down in both directions but has since reopened.
There were no evacuations necessary as the fire burned grass and brush and threatened out buildings.
Six engines, a bulldozer, a helitack crew and a water tender were called in to fight the flames. 41 total crew members were on scene.
