A child is in the hospital after running onto State Street and getting hit by a car. The Boise Police Department says the child ran out in front of a car and the driver didn't have time to stop. They say the parents were nearby when it happened. An ambulance transported the child to the hospital, but the extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
Police say it doesn't appear that the driver was impaired in anyway. As of right now police say it just seems as though it was an unfortunate accident.
