Buy Idaho has partnered with iconic Idaho artist Ward Hooper to create a 30th Anniversary commemorative calendar.
“Each month depicts an Idaho image from Ward’s collection of work. The artist created a unique design exclusively for Buy Idaho that appears on the cover and in the anniversary month of October. The custom design depicts two mountain peaks, representative of the twin peaks branded in the Buy Idaho logo,” said Buy Idaho Executive Director Sandy Anderson.
"This is the first time a calendar of my work has been available to the public with so many of my images in one collection", Hooper stated.
Buy Idaho, Inc. is a not-for-profit, membership association, founded in 1986. In anticipation of the 30th anniversary celebration in October, Buy Idaho will host a Calendar Release Party at the Ward Hooper Gallery at 745 W. Idaho St. in downtown Boise on June 2, during First Thursday.
The commemorative calendars will be available for sale for the first time for $20. Potter Wines will spice up the night with jalapeno wine tastings paired with made in Idaho chocolates from Arno Connection Perfection in Twin Falls, Idaho. Local, live entertainment will also be performing throughout the evening.
The calendars will be sold through 2016 at the Ward Hooper Gallery and additional retail locations statewide.
