A 17-year-old boy has been arrested, following an early-morning stabbing in Boise.
Boise Police officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress and fight at a store near the intersection of Vista Avenue and Rose Hill Street shortly after 7 a.m Friday.
Officers found two adult men detaining a male teenager behind the store. Officers took the teen into custody.
Police say the suspect, a 17-year-old, broke into the store apparently to commit a burglary -- and set off the store’s alarm. Two employees responded, and came upon the suspect as he attempted to run out a back door.
When the employees attempted to stop him, a struggle broke out -- at which point the suspect stabbed one of the employees with a knife, according to a Boise Police Department news release.
Officers arrested the teen and took him to the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center.
The stabbing victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
