Idaho State Police have confirmed that the body found in a subdivision pond Thursday afternoon in Middleton is that of missing man Christian Lepe, 39, of Middleton.
Lepe had been missing since Sunday and was last seen running from his car in the Middleton Lakes Subdivision.
An autopsy was performed Friday morning at the Canyon County Coroner's office. They told Six On Your Side they're investigating the cause of death as a drowning.
In addition, the coroner said there were no signs of trauma.
A more definitive conclusion will be drawn when toxicology results come back, a process that is expected to take several weeks.
