Officials at the Ada County’s Elections Office say early voting turnout has been off the charts and, in order to accommodate even more people, early voting will be open this Saturday, October 29th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ada County Elections Office, 400 N. Benjamin Ln. Suite 100, in Boise.

“With the record volume of voters we’re experiencing, we wanted to give the opportunity to those folks who work during our normal early voting hours,” said Ada County Clerk Chris Rich.

In the first eight days of early voting, 19,817 people have voted in person; averaging 2,000 people per day, officials said.

Of the 26,118 absentee ballots that have been issued, 11,410 have been returned.

Friday, October 28th at 5 p.m. is the final day to request an absentee ballot.

To have a ballot counted, all ballots must be received by the Elections Office November 8th at 8 p.m. According to Elections Office personnel, it takes about seven days to process, assemble, and mail the request.
