NAMPA, Idaho — The College of Western Idaho Board of Trustees have extended President Burt Glandon's contract, adding a raise with it.

The extension follows a no-confidence vote from the college faculty just last month. The Idaho Press reports the extension means Glandon is under contract for the next three years.

Last month, the Faculty Senate President publicly read a letter to trustees based on surveys saying Glandon created a culture of fear. Faculty members also expressed concerns Glandon aims to run the school more like a for-profit institution, with changes like switching to eight-week terms, which, for students, means condensed courses.
