Boise man arrested after police say he pointed a gun at another vehicle on I-84

MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian Police Officers were called to a potential road rage incident on October 1 just after 1 p.m. The incident happened near the intersection of Meridian Road and W. Overland.

According to an email from a Meridian Police spokesperson, the calling party said the driver of a black Subaru, later identified as Brandon Thomas of Boise, pointed a handgun at him while driving east on I-84. The caller followed Thomas into Meridian while providing updates to Ada County dispatch.

Meridian Police pulled the Subaru over in the area of S. Meridian Road and Overland Road. According to the email, police found a loaded Glock handgun from Thomas' Subaru during the investigation.

Thomas was arrested for one count felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was taken to the Ada County Jail.
