Cold and drier weather will move in for Friday then partly cloudy with a few flurries on Saturday morning.
Come the weekend, though, the precipitation returns, with rain falling in the valley on Sunday and what is likely to be a significant snowfall in themountains. 6"-12" of snow is likely in the higher elevations with this system over the weekend.
Another major snow looks good for Wednesday night and Thursday. Another 6"-12" could set up ski areas nicely for openings as scheduled on the weekend of the 9th-11th.
