Darius-James Peterson rushed for 105 yards and a score, as the College of Idaho rolled up 440 yards of offense and forced four Eastern Oregon turnovers en route to a 28-20 upset victory over No. 11 ranked Eastern Oregon on Homecoming at Simplot Stadium.
The Yotes (1-3, 1-2 Frontier) scored touchdowns on their first two possessions, but the defending national semifinalist cut the margin to 14-13 on a Nathan Harden 30-yard field goal to close the third quarter. C of I answered with an 80-yard drive, capped by Mike Kirby’s second touchdown run of the day and following an EOU turnover, Peterson snuck in from a yard out to end the Yotes three-game losing streak.
