After 20 years playing at college football's highest level, The Idaho Vandals are heading back to the FCS Level.

With the move to the Big Sky Conference, the University has made building a basketball arena the school's number one priority.  The School has converted the Kibbie Dome into the Cowan Spectrum during basketball season for several years.

President Staben made the announcement with the move to the FCS level that the school’s number one project moving forward will be to get a basketball arena in place.

"We think it's critical to the improvements to our basketball program that we want to see and I think it's a great example of how we want to invest and we hope others will join us.  recent development is extraordinary is our student levied upon themselves and facility speed to support that basketball arena.  It's clear our students want a great residential experience one that offers great Vandal athletics and excitement on campus and this move to FCS is related is a part of that,” said, President Chuck Staben.
