In just a couple of weeks, the Mountain West Media Days will kick off in Las Vegas, Nevada which means football is right around the corner.

Along with media days, watch list season has started for the Boise State football team.

Broncos junior quarterback Brett Rypien was named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award.

It’s the second-straight preseason in which he has been named a candidate for the Maxwell Award.  This season he will look to throw for over 7,000 yards for his career as he is just one-yard shy.

Rypien was also announced today as a nominee for the 2017 Allstate AFCA good works team.  The All-State face good works team honors student-athletes who are dedicated to volunteerism and enriching the lives of others.

In addition to being a two-time selection to the all-mountain West first team, he is the conference's top returning and away from the football field he has gone out into the community to serve and encourage others.
