This weekends game with Washington State will be a special one for Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien.

Rypien grew up watching the Cougars play games at Martin Stadium as his uncle Mark Rypien is a legend on the Palouse and then in the pros with the Washington Redskins.

Brett, however, decided to take his talents to Idaho and play for the Broncos and make his own legacy.

This weekend will be somewhat of a homecoming for Brett as he grew up roughly 75 miles north in Spokane, Washington.

"Obviously I grew up watching a lot of games in Martin Stadium and going to a lot of Apple Cups having my Uncle Mark be in the hall of fame over there it's going to be different and it will be fun. Hopefully, it will be an Apple cup Atmosphere that's what I hope for.  My mom is rooting for us no matter what I think deep down.  My uncle wants to root for us but he has a way to many obligations up there," said, Quarterback Brett Rypien.
