Christopher Martino has been wrestling since he was four years old, and has already made a name for himself in the short time on the mat.

Martino won a national title in July and now is representing Idaho in the 2017 Pan American Schoolboy Championships in Santiago, Chile.

"Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy," said, Wrestler Christopher Martino.

Martino is already a 10 year veteran of wrestling, winning 2 national championships in Greco Roman and a state championship every year in the Gem State since he was 7 years old.

“There maybe millions of kids in the world who wrestle and only a few of them have done what I've done,” said, Martino.

Martino is representing Idaho with one other Idahoan in Chili.  This past Friday, He walked away with a silver medal in Greco Roman.  This past Saturday Martino took home gold in freestyle.  However, the 14-year-old phenom isn't done with his goals.  He wants to wrestle on Team USA in the Olympics.

"I think it would be cool to have more people like the entire world watching me," said, Martino.

If the Olympic dream doesn't pan out Martino already has a backup plan.

"My uncle grew up with this kid who now is the assistant coach at Princeton University.  I've gone to a few camps there, and I really liked the camp and the coaches so I would like to go there and wrestle," said, Martino.

Martino and his team took home first place in Greco Roman and freestyle.  He is set to begin the 8th grade on Wednesday and might have the chance to get into Princeton as he excels in the classroom with straight A's.
