The Bronco defense will look much different this fall losing their four top linebackers from last year. The torch has now been passed to a local product with Leighton Vander Esch out of Riggins Idaho.
Vander Esch played in just six games last year and finished with 47 tackles the past two seasons as a reserve.
This season he has become the leader of the group something he is proud of.
"It's a privilege you gotta earn it I got some big shoes to fill I know what it was like looking up to Tanner, Ben and Tyler Gray and even Blake when I was a freshman and now I'm in that position."
