Former Bronco running back Jay Ajayi was the go-to ball carrier last season for the Miami Dolphins.

Ajayi finished fourth in the NFL With more than 12-hundred yards and he's quickly becoming one of the most exciting running backs in the league.

For him, though he maintains staying grounded.  Ajayi spoke to youngsters at a football camp this past Friday and despite his newfound fame He tries to be the same player that we grew to love during his time at Boise state.

"Definitely had a great season and I was excited about that wanted to just continue to push forward and do even better and to be able to get recognition from last year was cool and now it's just trying to keep moving," said, Miami Dolphins Running Back Jay Ajayi.

Despite having three games with 200-yards this past season in Miami Ajayi was overlooked when he was drafted in 2015.

After last season he has everyone's attention and he knows he now has a target on his back.

"I think this year not really about what they do but what we do and it's about executing and doing all the little details and just really honing in on the crafts," said, Ajayi.

Looking at the big picture Boise State has 3 former players all in the sunshine state playing in the NFL.  Two of them are on Tampa Bay's roster with Jeremy McNichols and Doug Martin.  It's something Ajayi takes in stride knowing that Boise State has been able to put out such great running backs on display.

“If we can just continue that tradition here of just seeing those great backs.  Being in that running back room and being a running back from Boise State hopefully we can build something,” said, Ajayi.

It's worth noting Ajayi was ranked as a top 100 player by the NFL network and he helped make the Dolphins 9th in the league for rushing last season.
