The Idaho State Bengals wrapped up their spring practices yesterday with their last scrimmage of the Spring. The scrimmage was easily a tale of the defense, even though the game was cut short because of weather conditions. The defense had four sacks, a deflection and forced a three and out for the first three series of the game. The defense has gone through the wringer all fall and spring, but despite that, they are the ones that stood out to Head Coach Mike Kramer.

“It just came to an end. It was a very productive spring, 14 practices. I would say a really good effort today through 50 plays from our defense. I think the 1’s and 2’s just played outstanding. Recognizing things got to the ball. I bet you we had 14 or 15 third down plays in the third in the first half. I don’t know how many times we punted, but I was getting tired of being the personal protector on the punt teams so great job by our defense,” said Head Coach Mike Kramer.
