Former Boise state linebacker Joe Martarano makes his return to Boise this time in a baseball uniform playing for the Eugene Emeralds. This is Martarano's first full summer in the minor leagues.
If he stays with the emeralds he will also play two other times in August at Memorial Stadium. Martarano says he is excited about tonight and is glad to just be playing baseball.
"Been getting a lot of texts and stuff about people coming. I think it's going to be a pretty cool atmosphere. It's just exciting to play at home and front of everybody. Spring training went well so I'm glad I can build off of that and go into a full season instead of going back to football and just living it there,” said, Former Bronco Joe Martarano.
