After winning two straight games the Idaho Vandals entered the loss column this week in Boone, North Carolina to Appalachian State.

Vandals Quarterback Matt Linehan finished the afternoon throwing nearly 300 yards with one touchdown that came in closing seconds of the game, He also threw three interceptions to the Mountaineers.

Evan with the loss Coach Paul Petrino is still proud of his team.

“I think most of our teams played their tails off.  We played really hard we just made a couple of mistakes and you can't do that when you play that good of a team.  You got to execute when things are there,” said Head Coach Paul Petrino.
