The Big 12 conference is looking at expanding their conference, and possibly adding two to four other teams.

On a conference call today, the Big 12 conference announced that it has unanimously approved the conference of the conference expansion.  Right now, it’s a very long list that is being talked through and looked at. A majority of the schools on the discussion table are east of the Mississippi.

According to Sports Illustrated, the front runners that are potentially headed to the Big 12 conference are BYU, Cincinnati, and Connecticut. Following them would be South Florida, Central Florida, Memphis, Colorado State, Houston, Boise State, and Tulane.

That’s good news for the Broncos if they are given the chance at joining the league. Big 12 schools made an estimated $25 million dollars each in television revenue just last year.
