BSU cruises to victory over Concordia

Boise State defeated Concordia (Ore.) 100-53 at Taco Bell Arena tonight The Broncos (2-2) took control of the game with a 22-2 run over a stretch of 4:46 that spanned both halves. The final 1:51 of the first half and first 2:55 of the second half.

Chandler Hutchison scored a career-high 18 points to lead five Broncos scoring in double figures. Hutchison was joined by Paris Austin (15), Lonnie Jackson (15), Mikey Thompson (10) and Robin Jorch (10).  Mikey Thompson scored 13 points. Thompson has scored in double figures each game this season. It is the first time in his career he has reached double figures in four-consecutive games. 

James Webb III grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds. Webb recorded double-figure rebounds for the second time this season and 14th of his career.  Boise State scored 100 points for the 10th time under head coach Leon Rice.

Boise State is next in action at the DirecTV Wooden Legacy in Southern California. The Broncos face UC Irvine Thursday at 1 p.m. PT/2 p.m. MT, in the tournament’s opening game. Play will continue Friday, against either Boston College or Michigan State. The tournament wraps up Sunday, and the Broncos will face either Arizona, Evansville, Providence or Santa Clara.
