The Boise State tight end group will be shaken up as Meridian native Jake Knight has left the program, due to a neck injury that has caused him physical and mental stress according to his Instagram account.

This past season the tight ends were not the regular target of Brett Rypien as the group only had 29 catches which are the lowest production since 2013.

Last season was Knight's first season of action. He played in every single game catching two passes

With Knight’s departure, the Broncos still have five scholarship tight ends with two seniors.

"Jake was fantastic for us  I'm proud that he was a part of this football team with the things he did and life.  Jake is going to be in another phase in his life and we wish him the very best.  We are certainly proud of him being part of this football team," said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
