The weather conditions might not have been on the exact favor of the team this evening but the Broncos did defeat Boise State 13 to 7 in this years spring game.

Captain and quarterback Brett Rypien found the end zone on a 1-yard run from Ryan Wolpin who finished with 74 yards.

Rypien finished 18-for 31 for 154 yards but was intercepted by Avery Williams in the opening half.
Williams and Jake knight served as captains for the Boise State squad, who were quarterbacked by Jake Constantine and Ricedorff.

The offense also picked up a pair of field goals from Joel Velazquez.  He connected on 49 and 26 yards.  Backup quarterback Rathen Ricedorff also showed that he could see some third conversion plays this fall scoring the only touchdown for the Broncos on an 11 yard out scamper.

Sean Modster recorded five catches for 37 yards, while AJ Richardson had 74 yards on four catches.

After the game Coach, Harsin was addressed by the media on his thoughts of today's scrimmage.

"Today was a pretty solid finish I thought defense, you saw some guys flying around some good hits and opportunities to create turnovers, id like to see the offense be a little bit more consistent," said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.

Quarterback Brett Rypien who didn’t find the endzone says there is still a lot of work to be done but with so many new faces that he expects the mistakes to be cleaned up by this fall.

"Obviously a lot of learning experiences this entire spring, we're getting a lot of new faces on the offense with the O-line and the receiving core, and getting the tight ends involved more, overall a very productive spring training," said, Quarterback Brett Rypien.

The Broncos will no focus on summer workouts as well as begin weight training this coming Monday.

“We gotta make a jump from the summer to the fall we have to keep on ourselves and each other, push ourselves every day to get better and train on the field and film room," said, Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

With today’s game, Boise State concluded its 2017 spring practice slate. The Broncos will open the 2017 season at home against Troy, September. 2nd.
