Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
It is the third-straight week in which the Broncos have captured the conference's weekly offensive honor.
Rypien, in just over a half of action in Friday's 49-21 win at New Mexico, completed 21-of-28 passes for 391 yards and a career-high five touchdowns, with all five scoring tosses and 368 of those passing yards coming in the opening half.
For Rypien it was the seventh 300-yard passing performance of his career, moving him into a tie for fourth all-time at Boise State. It also marked the second time this season he had hit the 300-yard mark by halftime, having thrown for 304 yards over the opening 30 minutes at Louisiana on Sept. 3.
No. 19/19 Boise State (5-0, 2-0 MW) hosts Colorado State (3-3, 1-1 MW) this Saturday night at Albertsons Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
